Wikis are used by many projects as part of collaboration platform. Yet, they have not been adopted by the majority of researchers for creating permanent scientific output.

Wikidora extends JSPWiki by replacing the persistence layer by a digital object repository, in this case Fedora.
Fedora provides automatic provenance metadata, assigns persistent identifiers, takes care of proper versioning, and prepares the JSPWiki's content for long-term archival.

• Uses Fedora for long-term archival
• Allows for reliable citation of every version of a page
• Collects automatically provenance metadata
• Describes every version of an article with a metadata record conforming to Dublin Core
• Generates PDF-files of every version using Apache FOP and XSLT
